Increasing Access to HIV Services and Supplies in Nigeria
March 5th, 2021 | news
JSI is pleased to announce a new funding cycle for the Total Market Approach project in support of the USAID-funded Key-Population Care I project in Nigeria. In partnership with the Nigerian government, this project expands access to HIV services and supplies through the public and private sectors in three states.
This work builds on the gains of the preceding TMA intervention, which began in 2017. The new funding will support supply and demand interventions to reduce client barriers to condoms, lubricants, self-testing, and pre-exposure prophylaxis. In particular, the project will increase awareness of HIV prevention commodities through user-driven demand and behavior change strategies. We will also optimize the provision of these commodities by linking accredited local distributors to private sector outlets.
The project will continue its important role in market-shaping for HIV prevention commodities. We will gather, generate, and share market insights and research to drive evidence-based HIV programming, planning, and investments.
