The government of the Republic of Serbia has launched an ambitious digitization effort and is placing a spotlight on artificial intelligence.
The Country Health Information Systems and Data Use (CHISU) project is supporting the Office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Health, Institute of Public Health, and the Office of eGovernment and IT in the development and operationalization of an eHealth Strategy for the health sector.
CHISU’s work in Serbia involves:
- Strengthening the governance and enabling environment for eHealth (for example, providing technical expertise to develop and support the implementation of the eHealth Strategy and a costed action plan).
- Improving data analysis and use (for example, through assessments and training on data use for action and developing a platform to support advanced data analytics for health).
Our work will complement the efforts of the eHealth Steering Committee to improve systems interoperability in the health sector and scale up existing systems.
