A new online monitoring and supervisory system helps strengthen the delivery of health services in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province

This technical brief was developed to display the purpose and effects of the online monitoring and supervisory (M&S) system implemented by the Integrated Health Systems Strengthening and Service Delivery Activity in three districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province in Pakistan. This system improved quality and efficiency of health services and data collection through increased supervisor accountability, health facility compliance, and health facility staff knowledge and capacity. The technical brief is intended for project fellows and donors; however, it is also useful for any who want to better understand how to design and implement an M&S system in a similar environment.
