At the 2018 Global Digital Health Forum in Washington, D.C. on December 10 and 11, JSI staff will discuss experience—from innovations in eHealth architecture to building capacity in data use and visualization—to improve health outcomes. The forum will convene 300 digital health experts from around the world. This year’s theme is A Shared Language for Digital Health, which looks to the World Health Organization’s framework as a way to build understanding among multiple stakeholders.

Connected Woreda Program: A Conduit to the Health Information Revolution in Ethiopia
Ethiopia’s health sector is undergoing a sea-change—organizationally, behaviorally, and technologically. The transformation is being driven by the Federal Ministry of Health’s (FMOH) Information Revolution Roadmap (IR), which aims to achieve quality and equity of health care services and coverage. One component of the IR, the Connected Woreda Program, focuses on the lower levels of the health system, transforming woredas into data nodes so that they can access and share data with all levels of the health system.
