Chief of Party, USAID-funded Cure Tuberculosis Project, Kyrgyz Republic
Ainura Ibraimova has more than 20 years of experience in health policy, financing, and building; strengthening dialogue between governments and health organizations; developing international strategic documents in health reforms; building health sector capacity; and research. Before JSI, she was chief of party for the USAID-funded Defeat TB Project in Kyrgyz Republic and the regional health finance director for the USAID Quality Health Care Project (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan). Ainura was the Kyrgyz Republic's deputy minister of health from 2000 to 2008; before that she was the director general of the country’s Mandatory Health Insurance Fund. Ainura has an MS and PhD in medicine and an MD in curative care.
