Alec McKinney

Alec McKinney joined JSI in 1998 after working for nearly 10 years at Boston City Hospital as a liaison to Boston’s public health department, the city’s network of health centers, and other safety-net organizations. He leads many of JSI’s large service delivery and population health improvement projects and has technical expertise in community health assessment and planning, primary care operations, behavioral health integration, chronic disease management, community engagement, and hospital operations. He also has extensive experience working with multi-sector collaboratives on issues of planning and sustainability. Over the past 15 years, Alec has supported hospital community benefits and population health improvement efforts, including for Beth Israel Lahey Health in Boston, Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey, and Stamford Hospital in Connecticut. Alec has a BA from Oberlin College, an MBA from Boston University, and served in the Peace Corps in Papua New Guinea in the 90s.
