JSI Continues Partnership with USAID to Provide Supply Chain Management Expertise in Humanitarian Settings
March 30th, 2022 | news
JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI) is pleased to announce a new two-year agreement to continue the Building Capacity to Improve Pharmaceutical and Medical Commodity Management in Humanitarian and Disaster Settings Program, which JSI implements in collaboration with USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA). Since 2018, this series of projects has supported international and local nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that work with USAID to manage pharmaceutical and medical commodities (PMC) in humanitarian crisis settings.
Under the previous project, BHA implementing partners increased capacity in PMC management (see project achievement infographic) and made tangible progress through practical action plans (one was featured on USAID’s Medium platform). Over the next two years, the project will develop material on PMC management approaches from recent emergencies; conduct PMC supply chain capacity-building activities; share learning with regional and global communities; and support partners to conduct organizational strengthening activities to improve their PMC management practices. Learn more about the new project in this brief.
JSI has provided supply chain management training to more than 100,000 people working in fragile and development settings worldwide.
We strive to build lasting relationships to produce better health outcomes for all.
