With over 12,000 entries submitted to the Telly Awards across 50 states and 5 continents, JSI is pleased to announce that we were selected as a winner in the 42nd Annual Telly Awards! The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by over 200 leading experts from video platforms, television, streaming networks, production companies and including Netflix, Dow Jones, Duplass Brothers Productions, Complex Networks, A&E Networks, Hearst Media, Nickelodeon, ESPN Films, RYOT, Partizan, and Vimeo.

JSI’s award-winning videos focus on our HIV response work in Tanzania through our Community Health and Social Welfare Systems Strengthening Program (CHSSP), funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). We produced the videos in partnership with Erick Gibson Productions. Two videos were honored with three awards:

Silver Telly Award in Non-Broadcast: Social Issues for “Abdallah’s Story: How one Child’s Life Changed with Support from a Case Worker

Silver Telly Award in Non-Broadcast: Cause Marketing for “Fatuma’s Story: How One Case Worker Linked a Family to Live-Saving Services” & Silver Telly Award in Non-Broadcast: Social Issues for “Fatuma’s Story: How One Case Worker Linked a Family to Live-Saving Services”

This is a first-time Telly Awards win for JSI and we congratulate the entire staff and all those who made it possible to amplify the importance of public health using visual storytelling. We also thank USAID/Tanzania, the Government of Tanzania (through the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Eldery and Children) and all CHSSP stakeholders for the tremendous support provided to JSI through CHSSP over its six-year span.
