JSI & World Education Merge

Two nonprofit pioneers merge to achieve greater health, education, and socioeconomic equity around the world.

For more than 30 years, JSI and World Education have been affiliated nonprofits. During this long-standing relationship, JSI and World Education have been independently registered as 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, working in partnership on the intersecting issues of public health and education with a shared commitment to equity and innovation.

Effective July 1, 2023, JSI and World Education formally merged. World Education is now a division of JSI.

This was a merger of two highly compatible organizations with decades of impact, the respect of their communities of practice, and complementary missions.

Together, JSI and World Education now leverage a single administrative infrastructure for program support. This strengthens our ability to deliver on excellence and aligns with the commitment to local-level decision making. The merger also streamlines the sharing of best practices and deepens the tradition of innovation and impact.

Though JSI and World Education operate as one organization, their respective brands and logos remain.

The unique opportunity for this merger was possible through the vision of the JSI and World Education Boards, and their collective efforts to achieve excellence, efficiency, and equity.
