On the Road to Universal Immunization: Improving Equity in Immunization in Ethiopia
October 13th, 2021 | news
Since 2011, JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. has implemented the Universal Immunization through Improving Family Health Services (UI-FHS) project in Ethiopia. UI-FHS strengthened the routine immunization system to reach un-immunized (zero-dose) and under-immunized children with vaccines. JSI improved equity in immunization service delivery to ensure that all children are reached with high-quality vaccination services.
On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, JSI hosted a virtual event to recognize the achievements of the project over the past 10 years and explore the linkages between the Ethiopia experience and the global immunization agenda. The event included a panel discussion moderated by Lisa Oot (JSI) and featuring Dr. Eric Sarriot (Gavi), Dr. Carolina Danovaro (WHO), and Dr. Ephrem Lemango (UNICEF).
We strive to build lasting relationships to produce better health outcomes for all.
