This IDIQ provides services related to high-impact public health activities through research, policy assessments, studies, demonstration projects, consultation, technical assistance, and related support activities. High-impact public health refers to the measured effect that an activity or intervention has on reducing the public health burden of a highly prevalent, high-cost disease or condition and, by reducing the burden, has the potential to improve population health on a large scale.

The IDIQ is designed to support CDC’s Winnable Battles, which were selected based on the magnitude of the health problem and CDC’s ability to make significant progress in improving outcomes in a short period of time. Current U.S. and global priorities include: tobacco, obesity, nutrition, physical activity and food safety, HIV, healthcare-associated infections, motor vehicle injuries, teen pregnancy, and global winnable battles include mother-to-child HIV transmission and congenital syphilis, immunizations and polio eradication, lymphatic filariasis, and motor vehicle injury.

AHRQ Health IT is a five-year IDIQ that supports AHRQ’s IT portfolio by maintaining, serving as, and supporting the National Resource Center (NRC) for health IT and its associated activities. It is used to develop and disseminate evidence about how health information technology can be used to improve the quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care for all Americans. The Health IT Program’s three strategic focus areas include:

Within Maine, the Division of Chronic Disease (DCD) provides essential public health programs related to a range of chronic diseases and across the spectrum from prevention to clinical supports and self-management. This IDIQ pre-qualifies JSI to provide support to the DCD in two primary functions:

SAMHSA frequently provides access to technical assistance and training to its program grantees to support successful program implementation and enhance program outcomes. Technical assistance is most effective when it targets a specific need, is delivered by a content expert who has developed a collaborative relationship with the TA recipient, is delivered when the expertise is needed, and in a manner that is culturally appropriate and accessible.

SAMHSA’s strategic initiatives address trauma, support military families, improve access to culturally competent, high-quality care; develop community, peer, and family support; build information systems; and promote important messages about behavioral health.
