SUMMARY

Beginning in 2009, JSI was funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to provide capacity building services (CBA) to community-based organizations (CBOs) across the country to strengthen grantees’ capacity to plan, implement, and sustain a high-impact approach to HIV prevention. From 2014-2019, CBA@JSI delivered CBA services to increase CBO operational and programmatic capacity to carry out activities that aligned with the National HIV/AIDS Strategy and the HIV care continuum in the areas of: 1) Prevention with HIV-Positive Persons, 2) HIV Testing, and 3) Organizational Development and Management. With a particular emphasis on organizations in the South, the CBA@JSI team worked to help CBOs navigate the changing health care environment and enhance organizational sustainability by providing in-person and distance-based CBA services and products including expert consultations, content-specific training and workshops, technical support, job aids, webinars, and other tools.
