SUMMARY

The Global Family Planning Visibility and Analytics Network (VAN) supports the cost-effective delivery of family planning products to developing countries by allowing supply chain professionals to make coordinated supply and planning decisions based on shared visibility into a common set of data. The objective of the VAN is to better aggregate, share, and align country demand data with production, procurement, and funding to avoid stock imbalances and maximize the use of limited resources to ensure continuous availability and choice of family planning products in developing countries. This is achieved through implementing a data visibility platform, processes, and roles to enable utilization of the platform for decision-making and policy to enable data sharing between VAN members. The platform is currently the only visibility platform that routinely aggregates the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement Supply Management (GHSC-PSM), and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) order data with program inventory data.

Funded by PATH, JSI will provide staffing for the benefit of RHSC to support the VAN with the objectives of supporting RHSC with staff to fill the GFPVAN Control Tower Planning Manager (CTPM) and VAN Control Tower Analyst Pool roles.
