JSI facilitates clinical roll-out and user support for the Massachusetts Immunization Information System (MIIS) Program, which is used by health care professionals (including, but not limited to, health care providers, local boards of health, school nurses, and staff at state agencies involved in immunization) to report all administered immunizations.
Core functions of JSI's effort include outreach and recruitment of health care professionals to come on board with the MIIS, training and technical assistance to MIIS users, and communication interface between these users and the IT helpdesk. JSI provides coordination for the statewide roll-out of the MIIS, assists in the development of communication materials, serves as the first line of communication, training and support for end users, and implements and helps to develop Help Desk support policies and procedures.
