In 2015, JSI, under the MEASURE Evaluation project, implemented the Electronic Logistics Management Information System (eSIGL) application in Ivory Coast. eSIGL is based on eLMIS/OpenLMIS V2, which was also implemented country-wide in Tanzania, Zambia, Zanzibar, and Guinea to manage their supply chain logistics distribution systems.
Later that year, as part of going live with the eSIGL application, JSI installed and configured eSIGL at Nouvelle Pharmacie De La Sante Publique's ( NPSP) data center and conducted system administration training for maintenance and support of eSIGL.
Between 2015 and 16, the MEASURE Evaluation project provided a Training of Trainer (ToT) and user training and scaled up the project. In 2017-2018, the USAID Global Health and Supply Chain Program – Procurement and Supply Management project GHSC -PSM project provided technical assistance for eSIGL.
To ensure the sustainability of eSIGL, it was transferred to NPSPs for management, operation, and support. Through a contract between JSI and NPSP, JSI has supported maintaining the eSIGL application since 2020. This continued project is to provide technical assistance and maintenance support for the ESIGL application.
