SUMMARY

Bangladesh’s urban landscape is shifting due to rapid population growth and epidemiological changes that impact the health system structure and the health of urban communities. The USAID Urban Health Activity works to strengthen Bangladesh’s urban health systems to improve health outcomes among all urbanites. JSI and partners are working with the Government of Bangladesh, local municipalities, and city corporations to provide quality, equitable public health to Bangladeshis.

The Urban Health Activity is a catalyst for urban health systems to be more resilient, optimize resources, and deliver quality health services across disease areas, including family planning; maternal and child health and nutrition; tuberculosis; and overall global health security.

This five-year USAID-funded Activity is led by JSI and implemented with support from partners, including Research, Training and Management International (RTM); Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK); and BRAC University’s JPG School of Public Health.
