Indore Baseline Assessment Report: Health Promoting Schools

In 2019, the USAID-funded Building Healthy Cities (BHC) project conducted an assessment of all 148 middle, high, and higher secondary government schools in Indore, India. Schools were assessed using a tool developed by adapting World Health Organization. Key factors included in the assessment were healthy school policies, healthy physical and social environment, links with the community, competencies for healthy living, and health care and promotion services. This report summarizes those findings and provides recommendations for improvement. JSI/Building Healthy Cities. 2020.
