Improving Health Care Quality for Newborns and Children in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province

This technical brief was developed to showcase the Integrated Health Systems Strengthening and Service Delivery (IHSS-SD) Activity’s intervention to improve newborn and child morbidity and mortality rates in the remote Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province of Pakistan. The Activity helped establish well baby clinics and sick newborn care units with trained staff to provide preventative care and treatment to thousands of children and newborns in KP. This technical brief was developed as a report for funders, but is a useful resource for any interested in the Activity’s work in Pakistan or improving newborn and child morbidity and mortality rates in similar areas.
