Increasing Equity in Pakistan’s Health System

This brief was developed as an update about how the USAID-supported Integrated Health Systems Strengthening and Service Delivery (IHSS-SD) Activity has strengthened Pakistan’s health system to deliver more equitable health services to citizens. The Activity has accomplished this by prioritizing social accountability, social and behavior change initiatives, and community systems to strengthen the institutional, technical, and leadership capacities of three provincial departments of health in Pakistan. The purpose of this report is to inform project fellows and donors; however, it is also useful for any who want to learn about the IHSS-SD Activity’s work in Pakistan.
