Makassar Workshop Report: Action Plan Integration

In Makassar, Indonesia, the Building Healthy Cities (BHC) project works with City Planning and Development (Bappeda), Kominfo, and other key stakeholders to support the city’s vision and long-term goal to become a world class city that is healthy and livable for all. BHC encourages multisector collaboration to address the complexity of healthy city issues. In support of this, BHC held a series of systems mapping workshops intended to help identify a set of actions to move Makassar toward its long-term goals. This workshop was held on June 15-16, 2021, to align BHC’s set of recommended actions to the City Department Work Plan 2022 process. The workshop was designed by BHC’s partner-experts in systems practice, Engaging Inquiry, and was co-hosted with Bappeda.
