Although starting fiscal year (FY) 2021 slowly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the USAID eSCMIS project exceeded annual targets for implementation of key project activities such as electronic management information system (eLMIS) deployments, health facility staff training, transitioning project activities to MOH, and incorporating new system enhancements. This annual report shows progress for the FY 2021 (October 2020 – September 2021).
The five-year USAID eSCMIS project builds on the success of the present eLMIS in Zambia, which was originally established by JSI with support from USAID DELIVER and Supply Chain Management Systems projects, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency, and other key supply chain partners. John Snow Health Zambia Limited (JSH) is mandated to support the transition of the eLMIS into the next-generation logistics information system through the USAID eSCIMS project. JSH is the prime contractor on the USAID eSCMIS project, with JSI and Churches Health Association of Zambia (CHAZ) as subcontractors.
