Suz Friedrich Presented with Lifetime Public Health Achievement Award

Congratulations to Suz Friedrich, JSI Research & Training, Inc. board member and former JSI employee, who was awarded the 2020 Roger Fossum Award. Sponsored by the New Hampshire Public Health Association, the award recognizes people who have made significant contributions to public health over the course of their career.

Suz worked for more than 35 years to strengthen health care and health systems through training, technical assistance, evaluation, and quality improvement, with a focus on underserved communities in New Hampshire. She was the first director of the Community Health Institute, established in 1995 by JSI in partnership with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Suz also led the National Healthy Start EPIC Center (2016-19), which supported 100 community-based Healthy Start grantees nationwide.
